September Happenings

September is a busy month at First Baptist Church.

Starting August 29th we will have a prayer booth at the Big Knob Fair for our Celebrate Recovery ministry as we carry out Step 12 and take the message of recovery to others.

On September 3, Pastor Wafula will be visiting from Kenya, Africa.  He is with International Gospel Missions and will be bringing us an update on the ministry there as well as sharing truth from the Word of God.  We look forward to having him with us.

On September 10, Gideon representative Bill Shaffone will be visiting and encouraging us in our efforts of distributing pocket New Testaments.  We also look forward to hearing more about what God is doing through the Gideon ministry.

Then on September 16 we will host a prayer walk through New Brighton, ending at the church with a Street Picnic.

Our fall Good News Club will begin in September as well.  The date has not been made official, and I will update the blog as soon as possible.  As always, Good News Club is for children in grades 1-5 in the New Brighton School District.

Hope to see you in September!
